Default Small Engine Mods.

I have a cold air intake right now and NGK ignition wires, NGK platinum series spark plugs.

What would be the next best thing to get before getting a turbo for power?

I was thinking about getting an aluminum crank shaft pulley and boared throttle body intake and upgraded ignition coils but I can't seem to find them. Any other suggestions on the less expensive side!

Thanks in advance!

Normally aspirated are always a bit more difficult to extract power from without opening the engine up, if you want to go turbo mate, save your pennies and grab an Evo engine and loom from a wrecker, even if you stay FWD a std evo engine would out power a turbo lancer engine.

Not entirely sure mate, I know of a few here that remain FWD with Evo engines.

But NA you need good intake, ignition, exhaust and ECU at a minumum. Then engine work requires raised compression, cams, ported head, balancing and blueprinting, it's a bottomless pit really mate, and there is no point in only half doing the job, you won't see the gains as they will be only very small if done bit by bit.

See if you can get it re-flashed or probably a new one, aftermarket like the Greddy e-manage of similar might be the go, you need some sort of tunability to inmprove performance.
